Useful Assessment of Botox Procedures in New York

December 1st, 2008

In New York, Botox reigns supreme as the most utilized non-surgical cosmetic procedure. The drug is becoming increasingly popular with New York women between the ages of 30 and 45 as both a way to diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and also to prevent them.

If you’re thinking about purchasing Botox injections and live in New York, keep reading for a broad overview of the Botox process and procedure.

How does Botox work?

Essentially, Botox is a poison, also known as Botulinum Toxin Type A. If the name sounds familiar, it’s because it’s the same compound that can lead to Botulism. That poison, when delivered by a qualified doctor, is a perfectly safe and a certified anti-wrinkle drug.

Botox works its magic by freezing the muscle. It does this by preventing the muscle from producing a certain chemical it needs to function or move. By freezing muscle contractions, Botox stops certain facial expressions and reduces the appearance of lines like frown lines, furrowed brow lines or crow’s feet.

Does Botox really deliver on its promise?

Botox was independently tested and approved by the FDA as a proven anti-wrinkle treatment. The drug is used all over the world, and in just six to seven years since it’s inception on the cosmetic market, it has become the most popular cosmetic surgery treatment in North America. Why? Because it works, and over 500,000 New York Botox users can attest to that.

While Botox will work, the drug is not a permanent solution. Most Botox treatments only last between 3 to 5 months. However, after prolonged use, a patient can go as long as 6 months in between their scheduled injections.

What is the Botox injection procedure like?

Botox injections aren’t just given on a walk-in basis. Usually, a doctor requires patients to book an initial introduction and consultation appointment to go over their requirements, possible side effects or the appropriateness of the treatment.

At your actual treatment appointment, the doctor will begin the procedure by marking the injection points on your face with a washable pen. He or she will also apply an antiseptic to the area to prevent infection. Finally, he or she will inject the Botox into the indicated injection points.

Botox injection sessions usually last anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes, including preparation and clean-up. For larger areas or first-time patients, expect a longer appointment time.

What happens after my Botox appointment?

After your Botox appointment, you can go back to regular, everyday life. Doctors usually tell you to avoid the sun, laying down or any skin irritants like alpha-hydroxy acids or exfoliants.

How do I find a Botox doctor in New York?

To find a qualified New York Botox doctor, you can visit the drug manufacturer’s website (botoxcosmetic.com). From the homepage, click on “Find a Doctor,” and then search for a certified practitioner in New York. You can also try the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (plasticsurgery.org) and searching their national database of board-certified doctors.

ZapADeal Makes the Online Auction World Entertaining

December 1st, 2008

Move over eBay, there’s a new site in town! ZapADeal is a brand new online auction site that is turning the online auction world upside down. Why? Because ZapADeal has created something called “reveres auctions.” In a reveres auction, the “bidder” causes the price of the auction item to go down instead of up. Let me repeat that, the price of the item goes down. It actually keeps going down until it reaches zero, than the last bidder wins the item for free.

That’s why we call it online auction entertainment. You can’t sell anything on ZapADeal, only the site owner’s list items. And, all items on ZapADeal are brand name, brand new items. Items like a brand new 2008 Toyota Highlander Hybrid, and many different iPods and iPhones, Mac Notebooks, Nintendo Wii’s, and the list just keeps going on. Everything is brand new and maintains the factory warranties.

How can ZapADeal afford to put on an online auction like this? Well, it really is a simple yet very smart concept. Let me explain. Let’s take a brand new Nintendo Wii that would sell for $350. It would be listed on ZapADeal and start at $350, but the price is always hidden. Every time someone clicks on that item the current price is revealed to them and the item price drops 20 cents. This continues to happen until eventually the price reaches zero, at the time the last bidder wins the item. Now, the key on this is every time you click on the item to reveal the current price it costs you 1 credit. 1 credit equals anywhere from 50 cents to 2 dollars. Remember, the price only dropped 20 cents on that click where you spent 50 cents. So on every click there is a 30+ cent profit for the company.

You may be thinking, “That’s not that great of a deal, spend 50 cents to save 20.” That’s where you are wrong, because if you are the last person to click on it before it reaches zero, you just spent 50 cents to buy a $350 Nintendo Wii. That’s why it’s called Online Auction Entertainment. It’s an entertaining social game. You are competing with people allover the world to be the last person to click and the winner wins the item.

ZapADeal has positioned itself as the new social networking site, the latest and greatest gaming site, and a legitimate way save big money on great brand name items. The people who win these items will tell you, the reward is worth the cost.

Now, ZapADeal has several other auction styles as well, the bid to zero I just described is simply the most common one. I recommend heading over there and checking it out for yourself. You just might win that 2008 Toyota Highlander Hybrid. At the very least you’ll have a good time. You can also go to Google and do a search for ZapADeal and find out some more information about this unique and fun online auction

Online Auction Entertainment is a website dedicated to ZapADeal. It has information, audio and video to help you get all the information you will need to explore ZapADeal. Visit www.OnineAuctionEntertainment.com for more information

No More Necktie Knots

December 1st, 2008

Are you tired of tying your own neckties everyday? Think about it! If you are an expert on tying a necktie, then it will take you at least two minutes to tie the tie and adjust the knot so that it perfectly sits centered between your dress shirt’s collars. If you wear a tie everyday, 5 days a week, then you will spend over 21,000 minutes on tying neckties in the lifetime of your career. That is over 700 hours, or almost 30 days of non-stop tying neckties. If you count the time it takes to take the tie back off, untie the knot, and finally hang it on a tie rack, this time might actually be doubled.

What else could you do with your time? I am sure there are better ways to spend this time than spending it standing in front of a mirror with bloodshot eyes trying to put a string of silk around your neck. Below are a few tips that will help you spend less time with tying your neckties.

Option 1: Leave the tie off:

This might not be a feasible option for many of us because the necktie is part of our daily work attire. If people in your industry wear neckties, than don’t take the tie off. In fact wearing a necktie is a good option if you are working face to face with clients. You will project a more professional image, which will positively impact your performance. So Option #1 is really not that great for most of us.

Option 2: Don’t untie the tie at the end of the day:

In theory, this might sound good because not only will you save time with untying your neckties at the end of each day, but you also wouldn’t need to tie a new necktie knot in the morning. Sounds like a good option? Not so fast! Leaving the knot in the tie for a long period of time will cause your tie to get damaged and fall out of shape. Eventually you will need to go and buy a new necktie, which will actually take more time than having tied a tie knot all along. In addition silk ties can be quite expensive.

Option 3, Pre-tied neckties:

There are the so-called “clip on ties”. They are neckties that have been prettied and have a hidden metal clip sown in at the back of the tie knot. They are not worn around the neck but clip onto your shirt’s collar.

Even though the clip on tie will save you time, there are a few drawbacks with wearing them. First off all, many consider clip-on ties to be tacky, and only meant for people that can’t figure out how to tie a necktie. Secondly, depending on the quality of the clip-on ties the clip might be noticeable when wearing the tie. If this is the case, you are better off not wearing a tie at all. Finally, clip-on ties are difficult to find in fashionable designs and in a wide variety. Well, option # 3 might be better than the first two, but still not the solution we are looking for.

Option 4: Have someone else tie the tie for you:

Teach someone in your family how to tie a tie, and have them tie it for you each morning. This sounds silly you might think? Well, imagine being married to an attractive woman that ties your tie each morning for you. How does that sound? What if she wasn’t wearing much more than the tie? Wouldn’t this make wearing neckties so much more fun? If you have a stressful day at work, all you would have to do is to look down at your necktie and think about how it got there. Now, how couldn’t this put a smile on your face on even the most stressful of all days? I think we found our winner!

The Acquisition of a Noble Title Yesterday and Today

December 1st, 2008

The medieval era in Europe was largely governed through feudalism where the rule was based on personal loyalty and through the hugely subsistence agricultural nature of the economy. The sitting monarch would normally confer a title of nobility in exchange for loyalty to the sitting power and service by governing lands in the name of the royalty.

A title of nobility is bestowed on a higher class of the society wherein there are distinguishable social classes. First it is acquired and once it becomes part of the lineage, it is passed on to descendants depending on the rules that apply. It began during the earlier times in history when warriors are bestowed distinctive titles out of their chivalry or exemplary war experience and loyalty to the sitting monarch. This is during the feudal stage when aside from noble titles or knighthood; these warriors are promised lands together with some subjects inhabiting the said lands.

A distinguished warrior who earn a nobility title, unless later stripped off that title, carries with him this pre-eminence and the privilege to exercise command on land resources, food, money and labor service from common people or nobles of lower ranks. They also carry with them this lifetime title and may pass them on to their descendants. Noble titles existed in the powerful empires in Europe and were passed on to modern day descendants who still carry the distinction of these titles.

But just like the monarchical families that still exist today and still regarded their royal eminence, a title of nobility no longer command any political or administrative power as they were during the feudal but remain popular as status symbols. Most European nobility titles and royal lineage exist as part of cultural tradition and they are now more ceremonial in character although they still command respect and adulation from the people.

Among the nobility titles that were common and more popular include the marquis, the prince and the knight. The marquis as a title of nobility normally referred to holding a march or a mark or the frontier of a particular district. They were originally counts who were provided extra powers to protect territorial borders. The prince on the other hand is a part or member of the royal family and is the highest among the nobility titles and is normally what is use to call the ruler or the leader. They are normally sons or brothers or anyone who is closely related by blood to the king or the queen or the emperor. Among the noble titles, the knight was the one who was regarded the title because of acts of chivalry. This is because he is one of the types of soldiers. These acts of chivalry were recognized for their extreme care and respect for women, unquestionable loyalty to the king, being of persons of humility, and their commitment to defending the weak and the oppressed.

After the French revolution and the institution of democratic ideals, nobility and royalty were no longer the powerful figures during those early times and nobility titles thus remained only just as titles. Political and administrative powers are already defined by a constitution approved by the majority of the citizens although monarchial families and nobles in Western Europe still are regarded special status and respect by virtue of cultural tradition. There are some absolute monarchies and nobles though in other countries that still are the ones in control both on the politics and administration of the nation. Perfect examples would be those monarchical kingdoms and sheikdoms in the Arab World and that of the Sultanate in Brunei.

Spencer Miller is a researcher, author and Nobility consultant. Recently he found that titles of Nobility are sometimes issued. These Noble titles are certified legal titles that can be added to your name. All nobility titles include full documentation support.

What is a Bolo Necktie

December 1st, 2008

It is not uncommon for many of the 50 US states to adopt certain trees, animals, or even dishes to identify themselves with. Minnesota for example has an official state fish, the walleye. In addition they also have an official state bird, the loon, and even an official state flower, the “Pink Lady Slipper”. Did you know that one state uses a piece of clothing accessory to identify with? This state is Arizona. They picked a thing called “Bolo” as an official trademark in 1971. Soon after, another state found liking in this piece of men’s clothing accessory, and in 2007 New Mexico also added the “Bolo” as their symbol. You may ask yourself now, what is a bolo? If you are from the southwestern part of the United States or are into western wear, you probably know what it is, and you might actually have a few in your wardrobe. For others this might be a completely new term.

A bolo is a piece of neckwear for men, similar to the necktie. It is a piece of braided leather or cord that traditionally has silver tips and has an ornamental clasp. It is sometimes also called “Bola Tie”, a “String Tie” or “Texas Tie”.

Supposedly a silversmith named Victor Cedarstaff of Wickenburg, Arizona sometime in the late 1940s, first created the bolo tie. The story is that he was riding his horse with some friends and his hat blew off. Afraid of losing the silver-trimmed hatband, he put it around his neck. One of his friends kidded him that he had a nice-looking tie. Cedarstaff, being a silversmith, soon fashioned and patented the bolo tie.

According to another story, a North American pioneer created the bolo tie back in the 1800s. In a trading post in Zuni Pueblo, New Mexico there is a bolo tie on display that is said to date back that far.

The bolo tie is known as a bootlace tie in the United Kingdom. It was made popular by a group of teenage boys called the Teddy Boys in the 1950s. They wore the ties with dark drape suits, brightly colored socks (which they made sure everyone could see), a white shirt with a high-necked loose collar, a brocade waistcoat and suede shoes.

In the southwestern part of the United States, the bolo tie is said to be appropriate for any occasion. Even though it is most commonly worn in combination with the “western/ cowboy look” many consider it to be appropriate to wear the Bolo in combination with a tuxedo.

As you might know, men’s neckwear can come in various shapes and colors. Most common are neckties and bow ties that are tied with one of the many necktie knots. If you live in certain parts of the United States or love horses and western wear, your neckwear of choice might in fact be the Bolo necktie. No matter what its origin, it is the official state tie of two states and beloved by many.

How To: Live in Universal Harmony, In Ten Minutes

December 1st, 2008

First we’ll want to understand the structure. How the whole thing works, right? OK, it goes like this. The universe is creation and it is creative and created all in one. All at the same time. To understand this it’s good to use an example that’s a little closer to home. Think of plants. In particular flowers. It’s spring time and here they come, they’re budding then blooming and what a great sight that is. Then we see them reach a peak and start to fade. By winter they are gone from the scope of three dimensional perception. Where are they? Again it’s time to look at the universe. The universe is best described as energy. That’s the best word to use. We can think of energy, so we can picture energy and we don’t run in to problems with the word. One of the laws of thermodynamics states that energy is not derived from nothing. This is correct, but we need to understand there is no such thing as nothing. Energy, like our flower, goes through cycles. Picture a donut with the outside rolling into the inside. Also see that as it rolls in on itself it spirals around the donut like an old style barber pole. Young people might need to research the barber pole. These spirals are visible all over the landscape here at home and through out the vast distances of space. It is all spirals and at some places it is coming back into itself, just like with our donut. This is a constant thing. This is happening in us as the energy of our cells expand and divide and close inward. We see it as a “change in form” but that’s just the way it looks from out here. Life is constantly going within itself, so to speak, and then it will blossom forth in some wonderful explosion of form. So as we gain in understanding of life, through observation, we see that it’s hardly possible for us to operate or be structured differently. We want to get in the habit of bringing life forth from within us and blossoming for the enjoyment of everything. In our case, everything and everyone.

When you go inside yourself through the process of being aware of yourself you are that universal energy coming in and around the center of the donut. When you let this energy flow out for the enjoyment of everything and everyone you are in accord with the universe. If you want to think only of yourself you will manifest your energy in a shallower form simply because it’s not in accord, supported and enhanced by universal harmony. This is why self absorbed people tend to be miserable. In this, being aware of yourself as life, giving breathe to life, and constantly consciously cycling, you will move into the rhythm of life itself. This is often referred to as the river of life for its flowing qualities. In fact if you were to study a stream through the lens of sacred geometry it would tell you more about the structural properties of life than you’d gain by years of gazing up through a telescope. This cycling of energy is the great depth. The great giving of life. This is what you are made of and why you want to do it. In this sense of harmonious co creating you know that with every breath you heal the world, with every breath you create more beauty. As long as you are aware of this you are in harmony with the universe. How long did it take?

Doug Wilson is an avid student of concepts and has spent the last five years seeking out the structural aspect of unrest in human nature . The results of this study is being cataloged and turned into a system formatted on twelve step program principles at Addiction: In the 21st Century

Women’s Health: How to Prevent Osteoporosis

December 1st, 2008

If you do not know, osteoporosis is a disease that actually weakens your bones. This can cause a lot of bad health problems as you can guess. Things like fragile bones can make them a lot easier to break. However, osteoporosis is not a disease that you have to live with. In fact, this is a health problem that can be prevented and treated very easily.

If you have osteoporosis and you let it go untreated, then you are going to end up with weakened bones that will break. Today we are going to talk about a few guidelines that women can use to help prevent osteoporosis. After all, as women age they are the most likely to get osteoporosis, and thus, they have to know how to treat it.

The first thing that you should already know is that you need to avoid a diet that is low in calcium and other minerals that your body needs. Of course, you also need to go with a reduction in other things. For example, you will need a reduction in natural hydrochloric acid in the stomach. That is because it will just accelerate the osteoporosis process in both men and women.

The other minerals that you will need to include in your diet will come as no shock to anyone. You will need certain vitamins like C, D, E, and, of course, K. However, that does not mean that you can forget about things like magnesium and phosphorus. You will have to make sure that your body is also getting enough silicon and iron. This goes for manganese, zinc and copper as well.

A few other things that you should cut out of your diet to help protect yourself from getting osteoporosis are things like soft drinks. Although you do not have to cut them all out, they can actually lower the calcium levels in your body. They do this by blocking the calcium from being absorbed by your body. This may also help you cut down on the amount of caffeine you take in.

Whenever you drink a lot of caffeine, this actually increases the urinary excretion of the calcium in your body. Although some people do not like to hear this either, you should try not to drink alcohol or smoke. Both of these can cause negative calcium balances in your body. Pretty much, the balance means that you are losing more calcium than your body is taking in.

Things like excess salt and, of course, sugar are not good for you either. They aid in the depletion of calcium that is stored in your body. Cutting down on these kinds of things can help you. Overall, just be sure that you know the overall goal that you need to reach as far as the amount of calcium you need in your body.

It is better to have an overall goal as to how much calcium you need in your body than just to go into it blind. Remember that having too much calcium in your body is no good either. Both of these extremes are bad.

History on Fashion: Men’s Novelty Ties

December 1st, 2008

You ever wondered how certain fashion trends originated? It is obvious that many things in fashion have a practical reason such as long coats that keep you warm on cold days. One piece of fashion accessory that has been around for over 300 years, and serves no other purpose than being a decorative piece of clothing, is the men’s necktie. While the origin of the necktie is a whole story in itself, this article focuses on a the origin of one particular style of necktie: The so-called Novelty Tie.

Many different cultures have influenced the evolution of the men’s neckwear for the last four centuries. Even thought fashion has changed the cut and design of the necktie, it remained as common for men to own ties, as it is for women to wear necklaces. The modern tie comes in an incredible variety

of sizes, colors and designs, to match any social situation. Among these, perhaps the most radical departure from the traditional is the novelty tie.

While not necessarily suitable for every occasion, these interesting ties are generally created with a no-holds-barred standard. Today, novelty tie makers are not focused on making fashionable neckties, but are more interested in making a tie that is funny, interesting, and will strike a conversation in people. Hence, the novelty tie is often times also called the conversational necktie.

While it may be difficult to verify the originator of the novelty tie, the trend appears to have begun in the 1940s. Many neckties from that era bear printed or hand painted designs that range from the unusual to just plain odd. Some sources credit Salvador Dali with starting the movement, when he shocked the art world by presenting his work on fine silk ties. Dali’s ties are among those most prized in our time by collectors. Several other popular artists followed suit and even today fine silk ties are produced with the work of new artists as well as that of masters like Van Gogh. These range from actual hand-painted originals to reprints of nearly any genre.

Regardless of how it began, the novelty tie soon became more than a fad. Idea after idea was sparked, and new lines were launched. American businessmen had a new way to express themselves around the office and at social events, and manufacturers soon offered more than enough expressions, from the religious to the risqu?. More refined cultures such as the British, were, of course, slow to accept the change.

Popular themes soon worked their way into the mix, and by the 90’s, nearly any hobby, historic event or public figure was being “immortalized” on the face of a tie. Commemorative ties have been created for virtually ever war in American and World History. Personalities such as Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe, all the US Presidents and many more have all been printed or painted on the face of neckties. Our favorite cartoon characters, from Betty Boop to Looney Tunes are available in licensed and unlicensed versions. All the teams of the NFL, NHL, NBA, etc. and individual sports figures have all been subjects of this fashion craze.

Holidays, too, have been the launching pad for literally hundreds of necktie designs. What man hasn’t received that Christmas tie that he’s obligated to wear to the company party every year? Valentine’s Day is another favorite, as well as Halloween and even the “Kiss Me, I’m Irish” tie for St. Patrick’s Day. Whatever the occasion, chances are a novelty tie has been printed for it, in silk or polyester.

Technology, too, has had an impact on the novelty tie industry. The LED, the microchip and miniature batteries have provided us with an abundance of flashing, honking, music playing, and “pull my finger” wonders that tip the scales from the talk of the party to hidden far, far back in the closet.

Although the novelty tie is not a fashionable necktie that you want to wear to a nice business dinner, or semi-formal event, they are well suited for special Holidays, Birthdays, and certain types of meetings. For example: It is well suited to wear a necktie with Leprecons printed on it on St. Patrick’s day, or a Tie with Christmas trees during the Holidays. Just keep in mind that the novelty tie is not supposed to make you a well-dressed man. It won’t add style to your outfit, but it is a good way to show your sense of humor on special occasions.

Do I Need to See a Regular Dentist Before Seeing a Cosmetic Dentist?

December 1st, 2008

Depending upon how frequently you have visited your regular dentist in the recent past, it may be advisable to pay them a visit concerning any type of work done. There may be certain circumstances that your regular dentist would need to handle prior to having any procedure purely done for cosmetic purposes.

Many people may also be surprised to find that their regular dentist may also be very capable of handling the procedures that they thought they would have to visit a cosmetic dentist for, and at a potentially more reasonable price.

Have All of the Basics Covered

If it’s been a long time since you’ve seen your regular dentist you should, at the very least, schedule a check up and cleaning prior to scheduling an appointment for any type of cosmetic procedure.

You may have cavities, cracks, excess build up of plaque or even the beginning stages of gum disease without even being aware. These are things that should be examined and taken care of before any purely cosmetic procedure is scheduled.

This step will also serve as a time and money saver because it’s very likely that if you schedule your appointment with a cosmetic dentist first and end up suffering from one of these problems, that they will revert you back to your regular dentist to have them taken care of before scheduling any kind of procedure anyway.

Discuss your plans with your regular dentist while on your check up appointment.

Many dentists today, even those who base the majority of their business in general dentistry, are trained and very capable in many of the procedures that are considered cosmetic.

If you’re sought after procedure happens to be whitening discolored teeth, repairing broken teeth, replacing missing teeth - really anything that doesn’t involve the straightening of teeth, your regular dentist may very well be able to take care of the problem for you.

It also wouldn’t hurt to consult your regular dentist regarding the straightening of crooked teeth even if he or another doctor in the office doesn’t specifically perform that type of work, because they may be able to refer you to an exceptionally qualified orthodontic specialist that can do the work for you. This can eliminate the headache of trying to seek out a practitioner that you can trust on your own

If you happen to be one of the few adults that still sees their regular dentist twice yearly as recommended, and you follow all of the recommended practices of regular oral care and you have had no problems since your last scheduled visit, it may not be entirely necessary to schedule a preliminary visit with your regular dentist, just be wary that if there is a problem that arose since your last trip to the regular dentist then you may find yourself back there for treatment before the cosmetic work can be done.

There are probably hundreds and hundreds of qualified oral care specialists available and more than willing to perform whatever procedure you would like, but it could take a good bit of research and effort in order to find one that you are comfortable with. It’s not advisable to sacrifice the quality of the work if your regular dentist isn’t trained in or doesn’t have any experience performing the type of work that you want, but if they are versed in it, it makes perfect sense to have them perform it because you already have an established relationship with them.

You want all of the necessary information in front of you before you sign up for any kind of procedure and your regular dentist is the best place for you to obtain most of that information, so a visit to his or her office is at the very least advisable before getting any kind of cosmetic procedure performed.

Dentist London Ontario provides advanced general dentistry and cosmetic dentist London Ontario services for the whole family. Dental exams for kids, dentures, porcelain veneers, Invisalign, teeth whitening and more.

10 Steps to Sew on a Button

December 1st, 2008

It is just a question of time that a button on your dress shirt will get loose and eventually fall off, but don’t worry. Sowing on a button is actually much easier if you follow the tips in this article.

If you notice that the button is coming off, save it before you loose it. It is sometimes better to cut a loose button off yourself before it pops off on its own because this way you can make sure that you won’t loose it. Some dress shirts have really unique buttons that, once lost, would be really hard to find a replacement for. The easiest way to get your button back on your shirt is by using your dry-cleaner. Next time you drop off shirts for dry-cleaning point out the missing button. Fixing the missing button will only cost you a few dollars Chances are that your cleaner might even do this at no charge.

What if you don’t have access to a kind of service? Take a business trip for example. You typically bring just enough dress shirts for the trip and wearing a different shirt might not be an option. What do you do if a button comes off right before you get dressed for an important business dinner? Don’t panic! Sewing on a button is actually quite simple. The 10 Steps below are instructions on how to sew on a button to your dress shirt.

1.Find a matching button. If you lost the original button use one of the spare buttons located at the bottom of your dress shirt. If your dress shirt doesn’t have those, cut of the lowest button on your shirt. No one will notice if this button is missing since you will have the shirt tugged into your pants.

2. Find a matching color thread. If you cannot find the exact thread color, use the closest color shade you can find.

3. Remove all excess thread that might still be hanging from where the old button used to be.

4. Cut the thread about 2 feet in length, and feed it through the needle. Pull at least 1/4 of the thread through to secure the thread from falling out.

5. Place the button on the location where the missing button used to be, and hold it down with one hand. With your other hand push the needle through the dress shirt from underneath through one of the holes in the button.

6. Now from the top, push the needle through the across lying hole of the button. Push the needle all the way through the dress shirt and tighten the thread.

7. Repeat Step 5 and 6 until each hole of the button has been used 2 or 3 times.

8. Create a little extra space between button and dress shirt. This will make buttoning easier as well as protect the threads that connect the button with the shirt. To do this start as you would in step #6 but only push the needle through the shirt, and not through the button. Take the thread and wrap it around the gap between button and dress shirt. Pull it tight after each wrapping, and repeat this 4 to 5 times.

9. Secure the thread by creating a knot during the previous step. Wrap the yarn around the button, but do not pull it tight. Before tightening it, pull the end of the thread through the loop, and then pull tight. Repeat this 2 to three time.

10. Finally cut the thread. You are done.

If you follow theses 10 simple steps you will be able to sew on a button like a pro the first time you do this. To ensure you are prepared during travel, have some thread, a few extra buttons, and a needle with you in your suitcase. You can find such sewing kits at any department store, your drycleaner, or even many grocery stores. They only cost a few dollars and are a must have for anyone traveling for business.
